What Is Digital WellBeing?

It is a system that is used to help users use phones less and limit the time they spend on the apps to which they are addicted. Even if one wants to do it on their own, it becomes really hard for them to get over the phone addiction. They promise themselves that they will not be using their phones too much, but soon they forget the promises they have done to themselves. This system takes this responsibility and keeps reminding the users of the promises they have done to themselves.

Its Purpose

This system is recently introduced in the latest models of smartphones. It is specifically designed to help minimize our screen time. It is built-in in the latest models, but, one can also download it from the app store. With this app or system, one can set a time limit on the apps on which they want to limit their time.
For example, if one is aware that he/she has got addicted to Facebook, he/she can put a time limit to the app through the digital wellbeing system. After the time limit exceeds he/she would not be able to access that app until the next day starts.

Why Do We Need?

Without a master, it is really hard to master one’s own self. This is the reason we set goals and rarely complete them. The same is the case with phone addiction. There is no one to tell us that we have spent so much time on our screens. No one is there to say that just do not touch that phone again and give yourself some rest. Even if our parents say this, but, do we really listen to them?
For this reason, the system of digital wellbeing is introduced which can help us reduce our screen time.

Is It Beneficial?

It is a very reasonable idea that there would be a system or app on your mobile that can help you reduce your screen time. It sounds like a very beneficial idea.
But here is a drawback of the system, One who is addicted to something can go to any limits to satisfy their need of that particular thing to which they are addicted. This is what most people do when they activate Digital WellBeing in their phones. After two or three days they deactivate it as it is hard for them to take it anymore.
It can be only beneficial for the people who are really willing to do it. The users also need real motivation to get over their phone addiction. As the system only helps users reduce screen time. This is only beneficial if one has the real motivation to do it.
